Do Anything You Wanna Do, - which entered the UK charts in August 1977 - was Eddie and the Hot Rods' fourth top 50 singles hit. The others were Live At The Marquee EP, Teenage Depression and I Might Be Lying. The band's last single to reach the charts was Quit This Town in January 1978.

Author Steve Crancher is from Leigh-on-Sea, Essex. This is his fifth book. Previous books include Dijja Wanna Say Sumfing (A Guide to Estuary English) and How To Support A Crap Football Team. In his teens he played in a band that supported ex-Hot Rod Lew Lewis at London's famous Marquee club.
