There was life at Nottingham Forest before Brian Clough and there is life
afterwards. In the 110 years before he descended on the City Ground, Forest
had won two FA Cups. Under Clough, the club became League Champions,
European Champions (twice), winners of the European Super Cup and the League
Cup (four times). In the years since Clough, managers came and went at the
rate of almost one a season. In 2005 Forest were dumped into the third tier
of English football, but recent years have seen a welcome climb.

Author Pete Attaway was born in 1967 and was taken to the City Ground for the first
time at the age of nine to see Fulham hammered. Hopeless at football
himself, Pete is a keen badminton player and coach. He is a lover of movies
and spends much of his free time watching his towering collection of DVDs
and Blu-Rays. He lives in Leicestershire with his wife Elaine, and his
children Benjamin and Louise.
